WHAT IS THE NEWS ABOUT UZSPB MEMBERSHIP?

There is some update about UzSPB membership. Number of members of Uzbekistan Society for the Protection of Birds is 227 people now. 91 persons live in Tashkent and Tashkent region, 42 are from Bukhara region, 38 present Karakalpakstan. Number of UzSPB members from Samarkand region and Fergana valley is the same and equals to 22. 12 members are foreigners.

According to the results of UzSPB General Meeting which took place in May, 35 members left our Society, 12 new members entered. Thus, membership decreased on 9,4%. However, during the last 5 years the membership increased on 69% in average. It should be noted that more than a half of UzSPB members - 108 people are students of 6 universities of our country.
